When I entered this race, I did so both to offer an alternative to the status quo and as away to build power in my community. We are now in a different political landscape than when I announced.

We no longer have a clear path forward in my district, but we do have more exciting opportunities for democratic socialist wins in Manhattan and citywide.

I am suspending my campaign today to best serve our shared movement by ensuring all of our resources and remaining funds will be going to winnable races.

I am proud of the work we have done and will continue to do together to help working New Yorkers. Thank you so much to every person who participated in this campaign and will continue to organize to build power across New York.

Our work doesn’t end today; it just changes.
